Bathroom renovation is often left at the bottom of the list, usually because it is a difficult decision to make because it demands something harder than a decision about tiles or paint. It demands trust. For many people aged 60 and over, that question of trust matters enormously. Who exactly will be coming through your front door? Will they be honest about pricing? Can you count on them to deliver quality workmanship?
During any installation or renovation, tradespeople work in personal parts of your home. They are present in the rooms where you rest, recover and carry out your daily routine.
This matters especially if:
• You live alone
• You have health conditions that make you feel more vulnerable
• Family members are not able to be present on the day
• You simply want to know exactly who is coming into your home before they arrive
These concerns are completely reasonable. Choosing who carries out work in your home is not a minor detail. It is just as important as the work itself.
The UK has faced a serious shortage of skilled tradespeople for several years now. As a result, getting a reputable tiler, plumber or builder booked in can take months.
This increased demand has opened the door to a different kind of problem.
Contractors who:
In a wet room environment, poor workmanship does not just look untidy. It can lead to water damage, mould and expensive repairs later on.
Price is easy to compare. Integrity is harder to spot but far more important in the long run.
There are some clear indicators that a professional or company is worth trusting with your home:
Trust isn’t built on promises. It’s built on consistency, accountability and a track record you can verify.
A full bathroom renovation often requires coordinating several tradespeople, a plumber, tiler, electrician and perhaps a builder, each with their own schedule and availability. Managing that process takes time and energy, and when something goes wrong, it’s not always clear whose responsibility it is and managing all of that falls to you.
This requires time and significant organisation from the client.
A different approach is possible:
A specialist solution that uses its own dedicated installation team is a far more predictable and secure experience.
At UDOOR, the focus is not only on our bathtub door, but also on the people who install it.
Our installers are experienced professionals who have worked with us for many years. They are selected carefully for their ethics, technical skill and how they work with our customers.
In practice, that means:
We don’t use occasional subcontractors. The people who come to your home are part of our team, people we know, trust and work with long term.
Installing a bathtub door is a practical improvement that also brings genuine peace of mind.
Installing a UDOOR bathtub door takes just a few hours. It removes the high step into the bath and makes bathing independently much safer and more comfortable without requiring a full renovation. You don’t need to wait months for tradespeople, coordinate multiple contractors, or worry about who will arrive at your home.
A UDOOR bathtub door or frame can be installed in a single day. Every part of the process is planned in advance and confirmed in writing. You know exactly what is happening and who is doing it.
Making your bathroom safer doesn’t need to mean months of disruption, multiple strangers coming and going, or uncertainty about who is responsible for what.
Many of our customers tell us that what they value most is simply knowing who came to their home, what was agreed in advance, and that everything was done properly from start to finish.
In older age, a home is not just a property, it’s a safe personal space. The decision about who enters that space is just as important as the renovation itself.
Making your bathroom safer can be part of a spring renewal, but the true foundation is always a reliable contractor.

Who will come to my home on installation day?
At UDOOR we work exclusively with our own contracted installation team. Our installers have been part of our team for years and are carefully selected both professionally and personally. We don’t use one-off subcontractors.
How long does the installation take?
The bathtub door installation takes only a few hours, so you don’t need to expect several days or weeks of disruption or repeated visits.
Do I need to arrange a plumber or tiler separately?
No. We organise the entire process, so you do not need to find a tiler, plumber or any other specialist separately.
What happens once the work is finished?
Our installer will clean the work area fully, walk you through how to use your new bathtub door, and hand over your invoice and 10-year warranty certificate before leaving.
Is a visit needed before the installation date?
No pre-installation visit is required. The UDOOR is designed to fit practically any bath, including curved, P-shaped and corner baths, made from any material.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No deposit is required at any point. Payment is made only once the installation is complete.
Four details and we call you back within one working day. You pay only after the work is done, card or Klarna.
